• The Design: Featuring a spiral koru pattern our Kākano design draws inspiration from the unfurling spiral of the fern shoot, paired with the compact form of a seed, symbolising new life.

• The Cultural Significance: Named after Kākano (meaning seed), this design symbolises the potential for growth, new beginnings, and how great things unfold from the smallest origins, much like a tiny seed growing into a mighty fern.
